My top 5 current favourite lip products review

As a self confessed make up addict, I own a fair few lip items. And recently, I have been enjoying using them more than ever. My favourite kind of make up is definitely eye-shadow, but lip products are one of my faves too. Oh and blush, concealer, and anything to do with eyebrows...

5. Sephora cream lip stain in the shade 13, 'Marvellous Mauve'

I only bought this recently while I was on holiday to Rhodes. I went into a Sephora for the first time and got VERY excited. In the tube and on the swatch it looks like a pink-plum colour, but when applied to lips and set into place, it's more of a true purple. It sets complete matte, which is great. I enjoy wearing purple lipsticks, and now that my hair is purple, I think it's cool to be all co-ordinated.

The negatives: It isn't as long wearing as you think. I thought it would stay on when I ate and drunk because it was completely matte, but it didn't and it came off in the middle of my lips, leaving an ugly outline that just looked odd.

4. Soap and Glory Sexy Mother Pucker Lip Lacquer in 'Charm Offensive'

I really love this lip lacquer! Its highly pigmented, and ever so gorgeous! I have had this a while now, but I had never worn it before up until a week or so ago. My favourite thing about this is probably the applicator, it is so cool. It is flat, and quite hard, which makes it easier to apply neatly on the lips.

The negatives: It is sticky, and whenever I wore this and had my hair down, I found when my hair would blow into my face it would all get into a bit of a mess as the hairs would be attached to my lips - not an attractive look!

3. Mac Matte Lipstick in 'Velvet Teddy'

This lipstick is beautiful. Whenever I wear it, someone always comments on either how good it looks, or what it is/where I purchased it from etc. It's a matte finish, so it stays put on the lips for a lengthy amount of time. Also the smell of Mac lipsticks is divine - Vanilla!

The negatives: It can occasionally be a bit drying, but apart from that, it is perfect!

4. Rimmel Lasting Finish 1000 Kisses Stay On Lip Contouring Pencil in the shade 007, 'Rose Quartz'

Now that is a long name! This is my all time favourite lip liner. It is a deep rosy pink colour, I would perhaps describe it as almost raspberry. It is long wearing, and very affordable! It looks beautiful under the next lipstick I am going to talk about - I think they must be my number one lip combination!

The negatives: I can't really think of one, if I had to, I would say I would prefer it to be retractable as sharpening isn't my strong point - and I usually mess them up doing so!

1. Mac Cremesheen Lipstick in 'Modesty'

This is my number one, holy grail, all time favourite lipstick. It is my perfect nude. It is a brown toned pink, and as it is a cremesheen finish, it is soft and moisturising on the lips. It is so comfortable to wear, and looks super pretty on. As I mentioned before, it looks so gorgeous with the Rimmel lip liner underneath, it transforms the colour into something a little bolder, so if I'm in the mood to wear something a little brighter, I love to do this.

The negatives: There isn't any. Maybe the price, it is £15.50. That's more than what I'd like to spend, but in all honesty, it is great quality and I believe it is worth it.

Bye for now,

Tamzin xxx
