Superdrug Naturally Radiant Skincare

Yesterday on a mad Superdrug dash, I picked up some products from a range I'd never tried before, Superdrug's own Naturally Radiant range. I usually enjoy Superdrug's own ranges, I've tried a few in the past, including the B makeup line and the Vitamin E collection.

The first thing I got was the Naturally Radiant Refreshing Complete Cleanser. It states it is for normal to combination skin, which I thought would be good for me. It promises to awake skin's natural glow, as well as cleansing and toning. It says it has the ability to remove makeup and it calls itself a 3 in 1 action formula. As I only got these yesterday I can't give a full review, but so far, so good. It smells lovely, really luxurious, like it should have cost a significant amount more. It feels lovely on the skin too, not too stripping, and I felt like it cleansed my skin well, as it left me with that cool refreshed feeling. As for the removing makeup part, I'm more inclined to use this as a second cleanse, but I did test it on some heavy eye makeup, and it didn't do that well, so I'll probably stick to my initial instinct and use this after taking my makeup off with something else.

The second thing I got was the Naturally Radiant 2 in 1 Moisturizer and Serum. This claims to again awaken skin's glow and hydrate and energize. When I used it for the first time this morning, it felt gorgeous on the skin. It felt as if it definitely hydrated my some what dehydrated skin, and it created a gorgeous base for makeup. I'm so excited to keep using this.

The cleanser was only £2.95 as it was on offer. It usually costs £5.99, which means at full price, it's still pretty cheap! The moisturizer was also £2.95, reduced again from £5.99. I'm looking forward to testing these some more. They seem promising.

Happy Birthday Tamzin Lena

2 years ago today, this blog was created. I remember the day clearly. I was bored, it was the summer holidays, and I clicked publish for the first time. I remember the thoughts I thought, I remember the feeling that oozed through me. The excitement, the wonder, the nerves. It was a mixed bag, and that is how it's remained, 2 years down the line.

If I'd had never had clicked that lil button, so many things wouldn't have happened. I wouldn't have made online blogging friends, gone on blogging dates in the early days, stayed up endless nights to get a post done, I would have never started a YouTube channel, I wouldn't be where I am today. This blog has grown with me. It's seen the ups, and the downs. It's a part of me. It is me. To the core. There's embarrassing old posts on here which make me cringe, and there's posts that have gone missing along the way because they got a lil deep. There's random photography posts, and there's my innermost thoughts. It's just Tamzin Lena, and that's how it'll stay.

How is success described, one may ask. I would say, in happiness. Happy is all I aspire to be, and if I'm happy doing it, I will do it forever. Happiness is the best payment anything can give, it is priceless, but at the same time, worth every penny. -me

I spent £7.50 on that balloon, and it flew away after 3 pictures.

Maybe I should re-think the worth every penny part.

I didn't get it back if you were wondering.

None of these pictures are edited. You can see from them, I'm just having a laugh. I ain't serious, I like to joke about and smile. This blog is different in that way, it's not perfection, it's realism, and that is why I enjoy it.

Blogging has become my thing. My love. My craft. My passion. My hobby. My outlet. My diary. My memory box. My identity. It is me, me is it. I am Tamzin Lena, but I'm also Tamzin Lena, if that makes any sense. I love my blog, and I love you.

Bye for now,

My perfect easy brownies recipe! #100thpost

Happy 100th post! I can't believe I have hit publish over 100 times! I say over because lets be real here, a few posts have gone "missing" along the way. Talking of this journey, it's been a crazy one. I started this blog almost 2 years ago, (August 15th is my blog-anniversary, I have a special post lined up for that) and a lot has changed since then. I know I've not been the most consistent - but that is just a representation of what my life has been like - up and down. I hope to start posting more on my blog - because I do truly love it, and I hope to really push myself, start doing new things and exploring new avenues. But for today, the purpose of this post - I thought I would do a post I do pretty well if I say so myself, and that's a baking one. I say pretty well as in I guess the composition is okay... and the food tastes good lol.

You will need:

  • 400g caster sugar
  • 225g butter, melted
  • 60g cocoa powder
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 4 eggs
  • 225g plain flour
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • Dash of milk
  • A bit of nutella (optional, but adds to the gooeyness and I would highly recommend)
  • Chocolate drops or pieces of fruit, nuts etc (Again optional, we added a few chocolate pieces to the melted butter)

Method:

Preheat oven to 180 degrees Celsius.

Mix all wet ingredients, add to all dry ingredients, put in a brownie tray, and bake for 20-25 minutes. Allow to cool, slice, then serve. It's really that easy. I love a one and done kinda recipe, you can't go wrong!

I'm so tempted to make "blondies" next, they look incredible!
