Why turning 18 scares the crap out of me

Image
It’s well into September of 2017, which means only one thing. The school year I turn 18. What I mean by this is it’s the start of people who I grew up with, went to school with, am friends with, turning 18. This scares me greatly. Most people can’t wait until their 18th birthday. They can’t wait to “legally” be able to do all the things they have wanted to do and have been doing anyway since they were 15. Me, well I’m shitting it.

I am not a big partier so the whole “going out” thing doesn’t bother me too much. Yes, I will now and then, but it’s not something I’m desperate to do. There are so many things that terrify me about turning 18, here a few.
·University. Do I want to go? Do I not? ·What am I doing life wise for that matter? ·Adult prices of things (boo hoo) ·Pressure. I ain’t a kid anymore. ·Where have all the years gone? Can I just press restart? ·More on that matter, I felt like I wasted my teen years for so many reasons. That makes me sad, and I feel like turning 18 signifies a…

Belated Birthday & Pink Hair

Image
As I'm sure you are aware I was ill over my birthday so I had to postpone a get together until summer. I had a few friends over the other day and I thought I'd share some photos. I also dyed my hair pink the evening before! I hope to do more of this on my blog, share random memories and photos, as it will hopefully allow you to have a special glimpse into my life. Photo credits to my best friend Georgia for the ones of me :) Her instagram - @_geofox_

My banana bread recipe

Image
I have been making banana bread for years, and it is one of my specialities if I say so myself.

The ingredients I use are:

3 bananas, peeled and mashed1/3 cup melted butter.3/4 cup sugar (I always add a tiny bit more)1 egg (beaten)Pinch of salt.1 1/2 cups of plain flour.
So simple!
You can also add in extras. Today I threw in a cup of milk and dark chocolate chips. (One cup all together, worked pretty well.) I've used walnuts before, raisins, or anything else that has tickled my fancy! Experiment with it!
Method
1. Preheat the oven to 175°C, and butter a loaf pan. 2. In a mixing bowl, mash the bananas with a fork (or potato masher) until completely smooth. Stir the melted butter into the mashed bananas. 3. Add your pinch of salt, stir in the sugar and beaten egg before mixing in the flour. Add your extras too now if you were planning on it.  4. Pour the mixture into your prepared loaf pan. Bake for 50 minutes at 175°C, or until a knife inserted into the center comes out clean. 5. Remove fr…

Hello again

Image
I hate the phrase "I don't know where to start", but in all honesty I don't with this post. I have hugely neglected my blog over the past few months and I understand that you are all probably thinking - where are you? Quite a few things have happened since we last spoke, so let me fill you in. Before I do though, I just want to say, I can't thank you all enough, my readers, for your continuous support. You have been showing the love to my blog over these past few months that I haven't been able to, regularly reading and being overall great, so thank you.

My last proper post (forget about all the YouTube things for a while, we'll get to that) was at the end of March. Shortly after this, my laptop broke and I was already being weighed down by a million and one other things so it was kinda shoved to the bottom of the to do list. Intense revision for my GCSE'S was beginning, and by the time April came around, I decided I'd try and get my laptop sorted…
